Thanks!! I had to rebuild both carbs, replace #2 spark plug boot and put front brakes on. It fires up with no choke. Thanks to YouTube, I was able to rebuild both carbs myself. I really haven't been able to really take it out for a cruise yet. Just a few test runs.

I hope Chelle doesn't mind if I post someone else's ride........ I don't know anything about it. Found the photo online, but look what this guy did with a Virago 1100. He obviously likes mid 70s Yamahas more than I do. That has to be one rip roaring monster to ride.

Extremely fun to ride because it is pretty much a full size bike, but it is light weight and the 175 is quite powerful and responsive. It probably has the best power to weight ratio of all my bikes. I'm guessing with that statement, so don't quote me on it....
Hey Schu, I had one just like it from 76-95. Used it trying to stay with my crazy sons out in the boonies when family camping. Sold it at a garage sale just before selling our house to become full time RV'ers. Should have kept it and built a rack on the back of the RV. Wound up doing just that with A Honda Rebel and a Kaw 454 for the 16 years we RV'd

Hello Tim,
Welcome to Virago Help. Glad you could join us. We have several ,as of late, that have joined us with XV535's.

What year is your 535? Hopefully, you and others here can collaborate on keeping these XV535's up and running.

We look forward to hearing your input and questions.

Hi all , My XV 535 is a 1992 model. Have only owned it for a few weeks now, and in that time I have cleaned the carby`s and serviced the Engine and controls. Love riding the cruiser around Hobart. :-)
