1974 DT360
This bike is unique in that it was a single year production bike from Yamaha. They made earlier 360s, but not in the DT series. The following year it was upsized to the 400 which I have shown in my earlier post. This is a mean one. You best show it who's boss when you kickstart this bad boy or it will kickback and show you who's boss. I never, ever, kickstart this bike in casual footwear. The previous owner camouflage painted the entire bike. I mean he walked up to it and started painting everything in three shades of vegetation. Tires, seat, cables and grips were all included in the scheme. As it sits now...the fuel tank is all that shows the camo. I wet sanded it until the original Yamaha decals appeared. I think it's the meanest looking bike in my collection.

1974 Honda Z50
Notice something here? It's a Honda. My boss obtained this bike for free and asked if I could get it running for his grandkids to ride. Upon further investigation, it needed a lot of work to be worthy of safely putting your grandkids on it. And when grandma found out about grandpas plan she immediately shut it down. He asked if I wanted it. I was honest with him and explained that is an extremely collectible bike. He simply said "do you want it or not?" It's going to be my next project.

1971 & 72 JT60s
I am currently refurbishing these two mini enduros and have obtained third one that has a lot of better quality parts than these two currently have. I'm about 60% complete right now and have parts scattered everywhere. The little white one was someone's attempt at making a bike from the early 70s look like it was from the early 90s with white, purple and pink color schemes Things are slowly coming together and they will be nice riders when I'm done. None of my bikes are show pieces, but they make people smile and remember their younger days.

1970 CT175
This bike gets ridden hard and put away wet. I bought it simply because my best friend had one when we were 15 years old and he could always beat me on my Kawasaki 175. Mine was big and sluggish with rotary valve induction. His was light and responsive with reed valve induction. I added an expansion chamber to this bike and it will make your ears bleed. But it's a sound I grew up with and can make old time bikers stop what their doing and watch me ride by with a smile and a wave. You really have to hear it crackle to know what I mean.

2017 SCR950
I sold my Virago to buy this brand new retro style bike from Yamaha. As you can see, they somewhat styled it after the bikes I've been collecting. It turns out that very few people liked the look and sales were dismal. I got this bike at a great price because dealers were worried about being stuck with them. There is a special group of followers for this SCR model. Mostly old guys like me who had bikes that looked like it. I've had people ask me "what year is that bike". I get a blank look when I say it's a 2017.

Sorry to have used up all this space on non Virago bikes. But it was my Virago that got me back in the saddle after decades of being away from what I love.

Bill, The 4 of us that road together were:

Bill (you)
Joe (me)
Dave and
Ed

The fearsome 4 some.

Crossed emails with Ed just the other day. He is ready to go riding this summer. He is replacing the ignition system on his 700 and he needs a new battery for it. Then he will be ready.

Dave I believe sold his Virago XV1100. But still has his XS950.

Bill, hopefully, this will make Michelle feel right at home here:

It's actually "G'day mate!"
Loved your bikes, Schu, and I am very jealous that you have your own large area where you can ride whenever and whatever you like. My poor bike is sat under a carport with a tarp over her and given I am still not fully licensed, I can't ride her yet.
I do have a new rear Pirelli City Demon for her, new EBC brake pads and a new front rotor to fit, and I am thinking of sneaking her down to the guys at my local Yamaha store for them to do the tyre and brakes. I can go the backroads and it's a distance of around 5 kilometres, so we'll see. But I do tend to be a cop-magnet
Loved your little Honda. So cute :D

Oops, sorry, I fixed it.: :D

I think Bill is one bike short of being a Yamaha Dealer.

I haven't owned a bike since college but rode my son's and friends every once in a blue moon. This was an early Fathers Day gift from him. Not too shabby for $750!!

Nice Bike Yogi!!

If it was only $750.00 Your son basically stole that bike or the seller really need cash fast and badly.
