Phil,
Don't understand your question? Are you wanting to change the stroke of a Virago engine? For what purpose? To make it faster?

Virago 1000's had a shorter stroke than 1100's.
69.2mm stroke for 1000.
75.0mm stroke for 1100.
5.8mm difference in stroke.
Bore is the same at 95.0mm.

Horse Power:
64.0 HP for 1000.
61.7 HP for 1100.

1000's are a tad quicker than the 1100's:
1/4 mile:
13.1 sec / 158.5 km/h 1000 (98.9 MPH).
13.2 sec / 156.3 km/h 1100 (97.1 MPH).

Top Speed:
189.9 km/h 1000 (117.9 MPH).
187.9 km/h 1100 (116.7 MPH).

Here is the fastest Virago:
Stroke wasn't changed, however, the bore was to increase from 1063cc to 1155cc.

Phil,
Yup, based upon Big Twins LLC website it can be done. If you have the time and $$$ to do any conversions like this and want to experiment it is your decision. For me, the stock bigger bored Virago's run strong enough for their size. 1/4 mile and top end speeds are impressive. Based upon the Fastest Virago article. The bike is extremely fast out of the chute. Shaves 2 seconds off the 1/4 numbers. However, top end numbers remain about the same. I've found that equivalent sized competitive bikes can't out perform a Virago. If I had another Virago and the time and $$$ to play with, I might do this. Problem is laws here govern what speeds you can travel. Go above it and it is ticket time and maybe a court appearance. Sometimes costing you more than the conversion did!

If you really want low end torque and higher top ends go with a Suzuki Hyabusa or Triumph's Rocket III.
