Is it useful that I upload an OCR version of the "Haynes-Yamaha-XV_V-Twins-81to94.pdf"?

Also, from past posts, did you ever determine what the "S" designation was for your 1986 XV750S. I think, I know what that stands for even though 1986 XV750 weren't available for the U.S. market. There is a good chance it is similar to the U.S. market 1986 XV700S. If you are curious get back to me.

Your links do not provide links that cover Virago manuals. Just all kinds of advertisements and/or dead end links which are not helpful to Virago Owners and riders. I will delete them. Please do not provide us with anymore worthless links.

I have a 1986 XV750 "T" which is also difficult to find "exact" information for. I got it in 2000, I still have it! I'm thinking the reason for the difficulty was/is that the US had enacted tariffs on anything over 700 cc a few years before, therefore the 750 was not available in the states, and that is why it seems to be "skipped" in "most" of the documentation available. I generally use "as close as possible" year and style information, "1100" manuals in particular can be helpful. I've been told that the heads for the 1100 are interchangeable with the 750 during these years, I haven't confirmed it, although it is tempting!
Documentation of any Virago is very similar and sometimes helpful, it can be specifics that are difficult. As to parts, "other" Yamaha products use most of the same extraneous parts around the similar years, like the V-max and Maxim, of course ...depending on you need!

Manuals that are available here incorporate several model years and Virago Models. There is no stand alone manual just specific to a 1985 XV750 that I am aware of.

Also, for the U.S. market there were no 1985 XV750's. Only:
XV700N, XV700NC
XV1000N, XV1000NC

XV750's may be available in Aberta for 1985, but not the U.S.
They also may be available in Europe for 1985.

Would like to have a chart indicating what Virago's Yamaha delivered around the world. Just don't know of one that is available to us. Virago Help forum just knows what was available for the U.S. market. Sorry, we just don't have the world market information.

XV500's were only available in the U.S. for 1983. Yet, in other countries there are multiple years of them.
That's Japanese marketing for you. Why did they do that? I have no idea. Possibly, to compete with the competition with similar displacement engines in those countries. Just a WAG on my part (Wild Ass Guess).

XV400's were never marketed in the U.S. Yet, other parts of the world have them. We get questions from time to time regarding them.
