Welcome back Bill,Schu wrote: ↑Sun Feb 13, 2022 10:18 amOk, so I no longer own a Virago, but I still stop by now and then. Gotta make sure Joe is still giving guidance and support! My project at the moment is a 1971 Yamaha CT1C which is a midsize 175 Enduro. I got it from the original owner, and It is very complete. So all I am doing on this one is a complete tear down and thorough cleaning. I have a list of parts for my local Yamaha shop to order. Mainly oil seals, crank seals, and brake shoes. One thing I will say about my few years with a Virago. I never did anything more than change oil and replace worn tires. It was a wonderful ride, albeit a very unique machine.
Glad to hear you are looking over my shoulder and keeping me honest.
Maybe one day when it is a tad warmer we can get Dave, Ed, you and I together for a Brew and Burger like we did at Otter Lake a few years back.
