1993 XV1100 need more AMPS for led light bar

I think you could mount a aftermarket r/r or the standard one between the front forks below front head light near where front brake lines meet. use a block of aluminum as a heat sink. i seen after market r/r on ebay with there own cooling fins. so i would think use a after market one with its own cooling fins and on a block of aluminum in that spot would get lots of open cool air . with led lights you used where they the same watts as stanard watts bulbs

No. LED Bulbs are usually always less wattage wise compared to Incandescent Bulbs.

Standard Headlamp Halogen Bulb is 60-55 Watts and get really HOT. If you touch the front glass with the palm of you hand. There is a good chance you will leave behind skin! LED replacement is 24-18 Watts. You get greater lighting with LED for less wattage utilized. And the front headlight glass will remain cool to the touch.

https://www.thirdgear.com.au/7-black-mu ... nsert-with some think like this and its 75 watts but thats a 7'' and wont fit the xv1100 as i think its 5.75'' and i cant find a 75 watts in the 5.75'' led light insert :.( unless i find a 7'' light housing light bucket and make it fit the xv. but this is getting out of control :|

All is not lost. Here is a 7" Headlight Bucket Installation from our pal Dave here in Michigan.

Install a larger headlight
