XV1000 & XV1100 FUEL TANKS CAPACITIES [INFO]

Post by ViragoJoe » Tue Nov 26, 2019 8:28 am

I've received emails asking about the amount of fuel each fuel tank(s) the XV1000 and XV1100's carry and what the split is between each fuel tank capacity wise (Main Tank and Sub-Tank) and how far you can travel on reserve.
Main Tank Fuel Capacity 3.6 Gallons.
Sub--Tank Fuel Capacity 0.8 Gallons.
Total Fuel Tank Capacity 4.4 Gallons.

To calculate how far you can travel on reserve. First determine how many miles you travel on average for fuel fill to fuel fill. My XV1100 on average is 43 MPG. So to calculate how far you can travel on reserve. Reserve Fuel Tank capacity is 0.8 of a gallon. Just a tad over 3/4's of a gallon.

43 X 0.8 = 34.4 miles for the Reserve Portion of the fuel storage system.
