I know some of us have gone through all that trouble of taking the Solenoid Shifting Mechanism apart and have the parts placed in order, so we would know how it went back together later when we removed the Solenoid.
Well, have we ever been wrong!

No need to do all that unnecessary work. When the Solenoid can be taken off with the Left Engine Side Cover easily by just removing the Electrical Cables from the back of the Solenoid/Starter and one HEX Headed Screw and the remaining Side Cover mounting screws. Here's how:
