SOLENOID REMOVAL WITH ENGINE SIDE COVER [INFO]

Post by ViragoJoe » Wed Sep 18, 2019 6:18 am

Have you ever wished that you could take your Left Engine Side Cover off and not need to remove the Solenoid first.

I know some of us have gone through all that trouble of taking the Solenoid Shifting Mechanism apart and have the parts placed in order, so we would know how it went back together later when we removed the Solenoid.

Well, have we ever been wrong! :o

No need to do all that unnecessary work. When the Solenoid can be taken off with the Left Engine Side Cover easily by just removing the Electrical Cables from the back of the Solenoid/Starter and one HEX Headed Screw and the remaining Side Cover mounting screws. Here's how:

Solenoid and Engine Cover will come off together. Easy, Peasy!!

Sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees are in the way!

Hope, this helps someone.
