1992 XV1100 Backfiring Front Cylinder (New Jersey)

Post by Ironforger » Thu Jan 13, 2022 8:40 pm

I'm getting a bit of backfire from the front cylinder. (backfiring when starting, and on decel).

Any ideas what may cause this?

Thanks!

Jerry,

Usually, backfiring for me is more on the lines of Valve Adjustments and Synchronizing the carburetors. Along with new Spark Plugs. If I get a backfire once every 3 years, then I think it is someone else, Who is riding along side of me.

Hopefully, these topics below will get you back on track and correct the Backfiring issue, if the above doesn't work for you.
