Re: 1991 XV1100 Handle bar too far forward (Netherlands)

It's probably a good idea to go with as short of an extension as necessary: this may save you the hassle of replacing cables. If you wanna go for a ride to Zurich and cruise around the Alps, it will be about the same distance as I drive to visit my brother-in-law :-) Virago does pull 112mph (180kph)...

Re: Heel shifter ["NO LONGER AVAILABLE"]

I would love to get my hands on the drawings for the heel shifter. My uncle is a machinist and can probably make me one at work after hours for my 1100. He can probably make one for my father, as well for his 535.

That's about where my backrest is although it's hard to tell for sure without mounting the bike.
It may be easier to strap something to the front of the bag, or space the two bags a bit by putting something between the passenger backrest and the front bag.

What's your height? I'm 176cm (5' 9").

Re: "SMALL PRINT" - WE ALL SEEM NOT TO READ IT!

Guys: let's all chip in $5-10, shall we? Joe has been helping us all tremendously. Ain't that worth a Lincoln or a Hamilton? We seem to have fallen into the "free" economy, where everything is "free". C'mon! I would be annoyed if I not only devoted my time to help people, but also had to pay for the...

Self-discharge and hard sulfatation are the primary killers of these bricks.

yes: it would help to know what kind of tab is there to pick up. I just made my 2nd donation, but unsure what the goal is.

Hi

Thank you for reaching out. I haven't logged in here for a while being beyond busy with work. FYI: I'm gonna get that 1984 rack in mail probably next week. Very excited for it.

Re: Greetings From DFW (N. Texas)! - 1995 XV1100

That's cool. I'd love to see more pics of your ride but despite looking high and low I came up empty. I posted a picture of both my current bikes, and the Virago alone. I got the Virago from a motorcycle mechanic who drove it from Chicago to San Francisco as he was moving back to the West Coast. Al...
