Well nobody has given you any suggestions. All I can tell you is that my 1995 XV1100 always had some engine noise. Nothing drastic. But you could always hear some noise from the valve train. I now own a 2017 Yamaha V twin with only a few thousand miles on it and again there is some valve train noise...

You might want to check your oil and see if that fuel backed up into the crankcase. Little signs like higher level on the dip stick or thinned out and smells like gas.
