Re: Cruising RPM's

Here's an old thread from another forum on the exact same concern with an XV535.

Re: Crickets

You know Joe, I really wanted to do an overnight camping ride with my two boys this year but we just never did it. I'm still hoping to connect with them for a nice color run up to the tip of thumb and back in the next 3 to 4 weeks. Maybe Caseville for a cheeseburger. It will be quite a mix of bike s...

I don't know Joe. This place is sure slow for having 936 members. Reminds me of a Frank Sinatra song. Not that I'm a fan, but I do like this one. "It's quarter to 3 There's no one in the place Except you and me. So set em' up, Joe I got a little story I think you should know. We're drinkin' my frien...

Re: Clicking the side of the engine

Well nobody has given you any suggestions. All I can tell you is that my 1995 XV1100 always had some engine noise. Nothing drastic. But you could always hear some noise from the valve train. I now own a 2017 Yamaha V twin with only a few thousand miles on it and again there is some valve train noise...

Re: Wifey's Virago - Fuel Pouring Out

You might want to check your oil and see if that fuel backed up into the crankcase. Little signs like higher level on the dip stick or thinned out and smells like gas.

Re: Laid it down

I almost took that exact same spill on my Virago a few years ago. A sweeping right hand curve that needed sweeping. Front tire washed out but regained traction at the last moment. It was not my most graceful maneuver. I believe my feet were already off the pegs and I was ready to bailout. Joe I'm gl...

Re: turn signal

Swapping out my rear 2 wire turn indicators with a set 3 wire front turn indicators was the best modification I did to my Vgo. I didn't need to do anything with relays. I simply spliced the third wire into the existing tail light wire. I did have to add length to the wires on one of them in order to...

Re: Hello from Marine City MI

It took me a little over 2 years but Yamaha came out with the SCR950 based off the custom bike I posted in my introduction. Now one is in my garage!
