Well, taking into consideration your findings so far, I think that fuel pump is running at too high of pressure. You say it runs on an auxiliary tank just using gravity feeding. The xv750 I had didn't use a fuel pump. What I would do is bypass the fuel pump and unhook the power from it so it isn't b...

Welcome to our site. What year is that? I could be wrong as I am not all that familiar with that model, but, I thought only the bikes bigger than the 750 used a fuel pump.
