I agree. Thats the only part of the throttle linkage that could be causing the problem. One thing to look at isnt there a stop on the mikuni carbs to prevent over throttling on the carb itself? Dont have one to look at atm but my guess is with joes. The diameter of the pully might just be smaller. I...

Nice Joe. I remember when I tore my engine apart it was definitely a pain getting it back on without screwing up that gasket. If i remember correctly the first time I ruined the gasket which was used, and ended up buying a new one.
