Re: 1995 XV1100 Fuel in the crankcase oil

Thanks for your help Joe I think the second option is a good one. I agree with the meaning of carb being (don’t mess with me) and I don’t have proper place to work on them as I live in an apartment. I drained the oil and may have gotten about 2 pints of gas in the crankcase so if I put a couple quar...

1995 XV1100 Fuel in the crankcase oil [SOLVED]

I have a 95 Virago 1100 and recently found the crankcase site glass to show above the normal amount of oil so I drain the oil only to find gas in the oil So I’ve been reading info on this forum and the DIY article about putting a petcock at the fuel pump to relieve the problem but my question is how...

Re: Crash bar mounting

Sorry. Just kinda frustrated about this and its not you my fault, Sorry. I wasn’t really expecting much protection. Maybe I should have expressed more of what I was hoping to achieve. I ride a 60 mile round trip to work everyday and needed a place to mount highway pegs I was under the impression the...

Re: Crash bar mounting

So I got the crash bars mounted with no problem but after I got them on they where to small to protect the clutch and brake pedals.
So I wondered about the ones pictured here. Has anyone seen this second style on a Virago.

Re: Crash bar mounting

Thanks I was really thinking along those lines about the support. Thanks for the tip about the bolt placement. I wouldn’t have thought about that one.
Thanks Joe

Crash bar mounting

I bought some crash bars on Ebay that I think are OEM and wanted to know beforehand if I needed to be aware of anything I needed to know about installing them? I read somewhere that the motor is the support for the frame in the front. Also if someone knows what diameter the pipes might be so I can o...

Re: Shifter not returning to where it’s supposed to

Thanks Joe for helping me here.
I was just curious after all this about the shifter. Why did you ask about the oil? Does it have anything to do with the shifting?
