I but the engine back on and the front cylinder wont fire at all and the rear cylinder fires but dies when given gas. the timing is correct...

Without seeing the face of it, it can be just about anything:

Battery Monitor - voltage
Amp Meter
Clock
Vacuum Gauge
etc.

GPS mount (In this topic link from aldo5468 for a GPS Mount, you'll see a volt meter between Speedo and Tach.)
