You MAY get away with a piece of black tape on the sector throwing light further ahead on the right, but most likely you will need a new headlight in order to pass MOT. The original headlight is terrible, barely able to reach the ground with some hint of light, so upgrading would make sense anyway. ...

They use the same stator, pickups, ignition coils and TCI-unit, which are the important bits. So as long as only the engine has been changed from 750 to 920, it should be plug and play.

The harness of the 1982 920 would be different due to the instruments, but the 750 harness should work fine with the 920 engine AFAIK.
