Thanks to all who have helped! We have until end of March to pay for the server. As of right now we are only about $160 short. So we are very close. I'm sorry I can't cover it but my personal situation is bad bad. Ride safe if it's warm enough out where you are because it has been freezing here in Michigan. Take care of yourself and yours.

Re: 1993 XV1100 Broken idle mixture boss
The only safe long term fix is replacement. Several here have made a single carb conversion and nay be able to help you with a good body at a normal price. I would not expect to pay more than 150 for a complete set unless overhauled and perfect. The 700, 750, 1000 and 1100 from 84 on use the same ba...

Re: XV920 UK MOT and Headlight
You MAY get away with a piece of black tape on the sector throwing light further ahead on the right, but most likely you will need a new headlight in order to pass MOT. The original headlight is terrible, barely able to reach the ground with some hint of light, so upgrading would make sense anyway. ...

Re: What alternative wheels can fit [INFO.]
Let us know how things go. The 1100 wheel should bolt right on, but will require a brake change.

They use the same stator, pickups, ignition coils and TCI-unit, which are the important bits. So as long as only the engine has been changed from 750 to 920, it should be plug and play.

What a pity that they did not grab that opportunity! That forum had members contributing noticeably more. Not necessarily more or better information overall, but definitely more activity. It would be nice if we could increase the engagement here as well, because the foundation is here what with your...

Re: What alternative wheels can fit [INFO.]
That is what has been pictured and explained online. All was documented on the now apparently defunct viragotechforum. But I must reiterate that I do not have first hand experience.

Re: 1981 XV750J Wiring Harness Issue (West Yorkshire, UK)
The harness of the 1982 920 would be different due to the instruments, but the 750 harness should work fine with the 920 engine AFAIK.

Welcome! Wiring harness should work with the 920 engine also.
