Re: Best Tyres (opinion)

Sorry, they are Metzler Lazertecs.

They are not cheap but I was lucky enough to pick up a new (new date code too) front tire at a swap meet for $80 so it helped make the sticker shock for the rear more manageable.

Slotted disc upgrade to 920R

I wasn't happy with the solid from discs on my '82 920RJ so I swapped over a pair of slotted discs from a XV1000. I agree, well done. It's good to have a Virago site that works and an admin who cares.

Re: Best Tyres (opinion)

I've heard ravings about Bridgestone BT45 tires, that they were affordable and last a long time. I tried them and didn't like them, the rear end kept slipping when I accelerated in corners. So after one season I went to Lazertec tires and I am totally amazed at the difference. These tires grip the r...

Re: LAZY JOE (SUSAN) - VIRAGO

Or make a smaller Lazy Joe for your tools and position it just ahead of the centre stand. Make a point of setting your tools down on the Lazy Joe, then when you go to the other side of the bike you just spin the tool platform to get your tools.
