Thanks to all who have helped! We have until end of March to pay for the server. As of right now we are only about $160 short. So we are very close. I'm sorry I can't cover it but my personal situation is bad bad. Ride safe if it's warm enough out where you are because it has been freezing here in Michigan. Take care of yourself and yours.

Re: Gasket leaking - dry or wet ?

If you cleaned the cover and crank case surface good the gasket should be ok dry. I use a little grease on a few spots just to hold it in place when assembly. To find where it is leaking, cleaning the area good and spray some foot powder on it. Its really easy to find where the oil is coming from. S...

Re: turn signal

Two wires are for the turn signal, the third wire is for the running lights. Dual filament bulb if you want turn and running lights.

Re: 920 starter swap to 1100 starter

I have changed two 1st generation bikes over to the 2nd generation starter system. If you can find a 1984/85 1000 this would be the easiest. The 1000 is pretty much plug and play. You can change other models but you will need the TCI and solenoid for the change over along with shimming of the pickup...

Re: Forward controls for XV's

I have recently purchased a 1985 XV1000 but have found with my knee replacements that I would benefit from forward controls and foot rests. What you manufacture looks great and is very reasonably priced. A couple of things, I live in New Zealand so I will need a price for freight and I have never u...
