Anyone ride Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois

Anyone ride around or all stay close to home. I have a little over 100 miles on mine since getting it running. That's not much but will be a lot more.

Re: 1981 750 TCI to Coil

well had to buy another ignition tci. the front cylinder only received spark once and a while. Timing light showed me the random spark. So bought one off the bay again off a 920. Only have 50 miles on it as weather wont behave here. But bike sounds better and more power. Even had to turn in the pilo...

Re: 1981 750 TCI to Coil

Re: 81 xv750 main jet (SOLVED)

well turned out back cylinder pilot 1/2 turn. No more popping. Where can you buy longer pilot screws. If they stuck out would be a lot easer to adjust... big time. mark this as SOLVED.

Re: 81 xv750 main jet (SOLVED)

Had to replace the intake boots. Adjusted the vent tubes with molded hose. Starts without choke runs a lot better. Still pops on coasting. I don't really want to open the pilots any farther. The stage one kit made a big difference. Only the number 1 cylinder pops. On extreme rpm drop. When I went to...

Re: Foot Pegs vs Footboards

I love my boards also have the heal toe shifter. The highway boards on crash bar are very comfortable. When you start riding you have to train yourself not to slouch. I had to install pull back handle bars. But that was from old injury. My shoulder would kill me after 300 mile ride. Welcome to ridin...

I haven't figured out how to use pictures yet. Also the two jets below that tube at the top. The bigger jet towar...

IE; different carbs and rear shock and all plastic, replaced all wiring, so far painted it twice. Having carb problems right this min with it. His other one is a 82 920. It was a barn lot ...
